Will I be charged for cancelling or rescheduling my driving lesson?

When it comes to COVID-19, Coastline Academy is taking every precaution possible to ensure that our students, instructors and members of our communities are staying safe and healthy. With that in mind, we have seen an increase is students and/or parents asking if there will be a cancellation fee charged if a student misses or reschedules a driving lesson.

Keeping Everyone Safe

Coastline Academy is following recommendations from the CDC, WHO and local authorities to keep everyone safe during these driving lessons. We have put in place a set of guidelines for all students and instructors to follow.

We have also put into place a significant amount of safety measures to protect our students and drivers during driving lessons. This includes students and instructors wearing a mask for the duration of the lesson and every car being equipped with hand sanitizer and HEPA air filters.

COVID-19 Cancellations or Reschedules

COVID-19 is real and we don't want anyone to feel pressured to make their driving lesson appointment, especially when they are not feeling well. Because of this, we have decided to waive all cancellation and change fees for COVID-19-related changes. Schedules are important, but keeping everyone safe and healthy is even more important.

Our Standard Cancellation Policy

Coastline Academy does have a cancellation and rescheduling fee policy, which remains in place for non-COVID-19 related cancellations:

• Changes or cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to the lesson start: free
• Changes or cancellations made within 48 hours and at at least 4 hours of the lesson start: $20
• Changes or cancellations made within 4 hours of the lesson start: $40
• No shows, or changes or cancellations made after the lesson start: full lesson price
