Coastline Academy Partners With Texas Workforce Commission To Offer Drivers Training To Transitioning Teens And Disabled Adults

Coastline Academy is excited to announce a new partnership with the Texas Workforce Commission. With this agreement, Coastline will serve as a new vendor with TWC and provide drivers education and driving lessons to their students. As we continue to expand in Texas, this is a collaboration we are excited to see come to fruition.

Texas Workforce Commission is the state agency charged with overseeing and providing workforce development services to employers and job seekers of Texas. TWC is on a mission to promote and support a workforce system that creates value and offers employers, families, individuals, and communities the opportunity to achieve and sustain economic prosperity.

For the TWC, the major functions are developing the workforce, providing support services including child care for targeted populations participating in workforce training and adult education and literacy services, providing services for people with disabilities to obtain training and employment, and administering the unemployment benefits and tax programs.

TWC also provides information and analysis on shifts in occupations and industries within the state and seeks to reduce discrimination in employment and housing through education and enforcement of state and federal laws.

With that in mind, Coastline Academy is excited to partner with Texas Workforce Commission in providing Driver's Ed and driving lessons to their transitioning teen and disabled adult students needing assistance with getting their driver's license. We all know the freedom that comes with getting a drivers license, so we are excited to work with these TWC students and help them become safe, responsible drivers.
